2019: Again, Giwa LG voters endorse Elrufai’s Political Adviser for Senate
For the fourth time in one week, the party leaders and voters of Giwa Local Government have declared support for Malam Uba Sani as their sole candidate for Kaduna Central in 2019. Malam Uba is Governor Elrufai’s Adviser on Political and Intergovernmental Relations.
The declaration was made by the people during the statewide APC rally for 2019, flagged-off by Governor Nasir Elrufai across the 23 local governments of the State.
Elrufai said: “Now that someone has gone to Abuja to trade-off your mandate to President Buhari’s enemies, we collectively agreed to find someone who will barb the afro of the man who sold off your constituency seat to the enemies of Kaduna State. Who do you think can barb this Afro successfully?” The crowd shouted in response:” Uba Sani”. And the Governor responded thus: “Get your PVCs and drive the Afro guy out of the Senate, with your votes. Are we ready?” The crowd enthused: “yes we are!”
Governor Elrufai then raised Uba Sani’s hand in the air, signifying an affirmation of the people’s choice.
The rally, which ended on Thursday, saw an unprecedented gathering of APC leaders, other stakeholders and the masses of the people thronging the venues of the rally within the 23 Local Governments of the State.
A Giwa Local Government resident, Abdullahi Umar said he could not remember the last time a senatorial candidate got such a massive endorsement at a rally. He then prayed for peaceful conduct of 2019 elections in Kaduna Central and the nation at large, while urging those who may lose out in the polls to demonstrate the spirit of sportsmanship.
