The Kaduna State chapter of the PDP has lampooned governorship aspirants of the party over their stance that the State Chairman of the party should be shoved aside by the national body for giving preferential treatment to Rt Honorable Isa Ashiru.

The four governor aspirants had yesterday in a terse media statement called on the national body of the PDP to take over the affairs of the party from the incumbent Chairman, Mr. Hassan Hyet over unethical practices, notably supporting candidate Ashiru against the rest. The aspirants unity forum also lashed out at Senator Makarfi for working in cahoots with the incumbent party Chairman to sway the tide of party members support, in favor of Rt Honorable Ashiru.

In a swift reaction, Abraham Alberah Catoh, the State Publicity Secretary of that party said the PDP was shocked by the stance of the aspirants unity forum because they were part of every single decision taken by the party. He also explained  thus: “Resolutions reached and ratified were all accepted by the governorship aspirants, and they even commended the party leadership of their efforts in preparing a transparent, free and fair gubernatorial primaries.

“The Party further expressed its surprise over the allegations raised by the governorship aspirants, due to the fact that the Aspirants met yesterday with the State Working Committee,SWC, of the Party and discussed very important issues that would ensure free and fair gubernatorial Congresses(primaries) on the 28th September,2018.”

The statement also gave assurance to all contestants that “the list of delegates as submitted by the 255 ward’s Party Chairmen, through their Local Governments Party Chairmen is still intact, nobody has tempered with it.”

The party, in the statement, stressed that while they do not intend to join issues with their party members because “all issues discussed and ratified by the SWC are sacrosanct”, they would give every PDP aspirant a level-playing field.

THE PDP EXPRESSED SHOCK ON THE UNITY GUBERNATORIAL ASPIRANTS’ FORUM POSITION

The Peoples’ Democratic Party,PDP, has expressed shock over the Press Conference held at NUJ Secretariat on the 21st Sept,2018, by the Unity Forum of Gubernatorial Aspirants under the PDP platform.

The Party further expressed its surprise over the allegations raised by the governorship aspirants, due to the fact that the Aspirants met yesterday with the State Working Committee,SWC, of the Party and discussed very important issues that would ensure free and fair gubernatorial Congresses(primaries) on the 28th September,2018.

At the meeting, four of the aspirants that gave the Press release were present,namely :-

1)HE Mukhtar Ramalan Yero
2)Dist.Sen Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi
3)Dr Moh’d Sani Bello
4)Hon Sani Sidi

The Party leadership promised all aspirants into various positions of a transparent State Party Congresses(Primaries)

The aspirants also made valuable contributions that would lead to a successful primaries, at the meeting.

Resolutions reached and ratified were all accepted by the governorship aspirants, and they even commended the party leadership of their efforts in preparing a transparent, free and fair gubernatorial primaries.

We are assuring all our contestants that the list of delegates as submitted by the 255 ward’s Party Chairmen, through their Local Governments Party Chairmen is still intact, nobody has tempered with it.

The party leadership is assuring all contestants of various positions of their resolve to give every one of them a level playing ground to achieve their aspirations

Thus, we do not intend to join issues with our party members because all issues discussed and ratified by the SWC are sacrosanct.

Finally,we remain committed to our resolve to deliver Kaduna State to the PDP come 2019.
