2023 governorship: Three sons of Northern ex-governors set to run

In the build-up to the 2023 general elections, It’s no longer a news that some State Governors ‘ll round up their second tenure by May 2023. Among the States where a change of leadership is expected in 2023 include Bauchi, Jigawa and Sokoto States. Interestingly, Children of former governors in these three Northern States have announced their Intrest in contesting for governorship seats. These children of ex-governors ready to take shots at the governorship seats in 2023 include:
Mustapha Sule Lamido

Mustapha is the Son of Alhaji Sule Lamido, the immediate past Governor of Jigawa State and One-time Minister of Foreign Affairs under the Administration of Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo who governed the State between 2007 and 2015. According to a report Credited to Daily Trust, Mustapha is contesting for the Top Position left by his Father In 2015 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Platform.
Ahmed Adamu Mu’azu (Jnr.)

Ahmed Adamu Mu’azu is the Son of a Former Governor of Bauchi State and Ex-PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu. The Young Mu’azu recently obtained the PDP Nomination Form to contest for the Bauchi State Governorship Position. It will be recalled that his Father, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu occupied the Same Position between 1999 and 2007.
Alhaji Sagir Bafarawa

The Sokoto State Commissioner for Environment recently declared his intention to contest for Governor under the PDP platform. The Young Politician is the Son of Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa who served as Governor of Sokoto State between 1999 and 2007. Like the duo of Mu’azu Jnr and Lamido, Bafarawa has obtained the PDP Nomination Form. The Form was bought on his behalf by Twenty-five Socio-political Groups in the State.
