7 APC LG bosses, Zonal Excos tackle Shehu Sani on loyalty

…Affirm his indefinite suspension
From Hadiza Mohammed
Seven Local Government Chairmen of Kaduna Central and Executive leadership of the APC in the Senatorial Zone have cautioned Senator Shehu Sani over his “dirty political antics,” including misleading the public over his indefinite suspension.
In joint joint media statement they issued in Kaduna on Saturday, the party chairmen of Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Igabi, Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Chikun and Kajuru Local Governments along with all Executive Committee members from Zone 2, lambasted the Senator and his “attack dogs who have been hired to help him achieve an evil political agenda by spreading falsehood in the media”.
They also took a swipe at the Senator over “gross misconduct, including series of damaging media campaigns both against our party leaders” and the Governor Elrufai- led administration in the State. They also lampooned the Senator for the political desperation that led him into disparaging President Muhammadu Buhari in the media, “thereby ridiculing the image of this country and its democratic institutions”.
The party leaders advised President Buhari to “be wary of a Senator who so ceaselessly attacked Federal Government and its policies”, while regretting that the lawmaker has deliberately refused to either apologize to the President or Governor Elrufai for his indecorous, “unrepentant, desperate and opportunistic” actions, leaving even the people of Zone 2 disenchanted.
The leaders also spurned the lawmaker’s motive in the “sabotage” against the $350 million World Bank loan meant to fast-track development in the areas of education, healthcare, infrastructure, women and youth empowerment amongst others.
The statement then rejected what it considered the back-stabbing of President Buhari and Governor Elrufai, on whose backs he rode to the Senate in 2015.
The leaders then declared as “unacceptable” the sudden display of allegiance by Senator Sani to the party, pretending to be its loyalist. They noted that the Senator would be the biggest time-bomb for the APC’s 2019 calculations and should be exposes for what he really is.
The party leaders then concluded thus: ” While he (the Senator) cannot mislead President Buhari, he cannot pull a blind wool over our eyes, pretending he is with us, just because 2019 election is approaching”.
The joint statement was signed by Aminu Jibo, Zonal Chairman of APC Zone II, Deputy State Chairman – Shuaibu Idris, endorsed by Assistant State Secretary – Yahaya Baba Pate, Zonal Women Leader – Tabawa Inuwa; Assistant Publicity Secretary Tanko Wusono, and 14 other senior officials of the party.
