APC NEC: Media group tasks North-central governors on support for Buhari

The six state governors, under the political platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), in North Central, have been urged to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s bid of repositioning the party.
North Central Media Support Group for Buhari gave the charge in a press statement issued by its National Coordinator, Ahmad Tukur.
Tukur said the governors should support the President, even as the Executive Council meeting of the party on Monday approaches, adding that besides the governors, other stakeholders should
give the president the necessary support to ensure that he succeeds.
He said: “We are confident that the North- Central will give the president every support; that is why we are urging our governors to go to NEC meeting
with one voice in order to ensure that the decision of Mr. President is supreme as the leader of the party.”
According to him supporting the President from North-Central zone is just like a support from the entire country, because “the zone constitutes a mini Nigeria.”
The group said the President is doing his best to ensure that the right thing is done in accordance with the provisions of the law and to see to it that the best APC leadership is put in place.
“Buhari as the leader of the party deserves every commendation for his effort to place the country high among the comity of nations that respect rule of law and the constitution,” it added.
