Batera best candidate for House of Reps Speakership – Group

Northern Youth Unity Forum has declared its full backing for Honourable Muktari Aliyu Betara as the next Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, having been rated the best Rep in Nigeria on constituency infrastructure and other development projects.

A media statement signed by the Chairman of the Forum, Comrade Usman Mustapha on Wednesday noted that the best candidate to succeed outgoing Gbajabiamila is Honorable Muktari Aliyu Betara “because of his multiple achievements in his constituency and how he even extended his development projects to other constituencies beyond his own”.

Comrade Mustapha, in the Statement said Honorable Aliyu Betara, who is also a professional accountant, “is a highly experienced legislator who was first elected to the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2007 to represent the Biu/Bayo/Shani Federal Constituency of Borno State, adding that, “as Chairman, House Committee on Appropriations in the 9th National Assembly, he was rated as the best in the country, on constituency achievements. All the Local Governments under his constituency git tarred roads for tye first tune in the history of Borno State”.

Comrade Mustapha went on to say that the time has come for the House of Representatives to “go for an exceptionally-hardworking lawmaker with vast legislative experience and commitment to serve Nigeria’s interest at this crucial point in time”.

The group said his constituency has remained one of the best in the Northeast because of his unbeatable records of development projects, empowerment, and skills acquisition training programmes.

“As a group, we stand by Honorable Muktari Aliyu Batera, to become the next Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives in the 10th National Assembly because it is evident he has already performed very excellently well”, they said.
