Breaking: Group Applauds Uba Sani as Kaduna Leads in Women Empowerment, Peace
The Uba Sani Legacy Projects Solidarity Assembly (ULEPSA) has hailed Governor Uba Sani’s leadership in advancing women’s empowerment and fostering peace in the Northwest.
The group, in a media statement at the weekend in Kaduna, commended Kaduna State for hosting two transformative events: the Northwest Women’s Summit and a groundbreaking roundtable for Commissioners of Women Affairs.
The summit, celebrated as the most exciting women-focused gathering in recent history, highlighted the vital roles of women in governance, economic growth, and nation-building.
Building on its success, the roundtable, themed “Harnessing Women’s Voices for Lasting Peace,” convened Commissioners of Women Affairs from across the Northwest to strategize on increasing women’s participation in peacebuilding and security efforts.
Speaking on behalf of the Assembly, its Chairman, Comrade Habib Bello, praised the administration’s active involvement in both events. He described the initiatives as a testament to Governor Uba Sani’s unflinching commitment to inclusive governance.
“These events showcase Kaduna’s leadership in empowering women and promoting peace. Governor Uba Sani’s administration is setting the pace for other states to follow,” Bello said.
The group also lauded the partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), which supported the roundtable, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in tackling regional challenges.
With programmes like “Get Back to Farm” and initiatives targeting security and poverty alleviation, the Assembly affirmed that Uba Sani’s administration is redefining governance in Kaduna and the Northwest.
“This dual milestone positions Kaduna as a beacon of progress in women’s empowerment and peacebuilding,” the statement concluded, urging stakeholders to sustain the momentum for lasting impact.
