Breaking: KADIRS Swoops on Tax Impostors, Cautions Staff
In a surprise crackdown, the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has arrested several individuals posing as tax collectors, defrauding unsuspecting members of the public. The agency also warned its staff members to desist from issuing fake tax clearance certificates and collecting unauthorized levies.
According to KADIRS Executive Chairman, Comrade Jerry Adams, the operation is aimed at ending the menace of fraudulent levy collectors and maintaining transparency in all operations. He urged taxpayers to ensure that all tax clearance applications and payments are processed through official KADIRS channels.
The agency also cautioned staff members involved in issuing fake documents and collecting unauthorized levies to desist from such acts, as measures are being taken to identify and punish those involved.
