The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has issued a stern warning to organizations with untraceable addresses, threatening enforcement action and legal consequences if they fail to report to the Tax Intelligence Unit within the next two weeks.

The notice, issued on Thursday, August 15th, 2024, cites Sections 81 (1-3) of the Personal Income Tax Act as Amended 2011 and Section 30 of the Kaduna State Tax Codification and Consolidation Law, 2020 as Amended, as the legal basis for the crackdown.

Affected organizations are required to report to the KADIRS Headquarters at No. 8/9 Bima Road, opposite Kaduna Polytechnic (CABS) Marafa, with all necessary documents and records to reconcile their outstanding tax obligations.

The Kaduna State government has vowed to take decisive action against organizations that have been evading tax payments, depriving the state of much-needed revenue.

“Enough is enough!” declared a senior official at KADIRS. “We will not tolerate tax evasion and fraud any longer. Organizations must come clean and pay their fair share.”

The two-week ultimatum has sent shockwaves through the business community, with many organizations scrambling to comply with the directive.

As the deadline looms, one thing is clear: Kaduna State is serious about collecting its due, and those who fail to comply will face the full force of the law.
