Breaking: Kaduna agog as Uba Sani receives over 12,000 PDP decampees
The Kaduna State APC governorship flagbearer, Senator Uba Sani has received 12,870 leaders and members of opposition Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) who decamped on Sunday in Giwa Local Government area of the State.
In what observers described a political carnival, the lawmaker was joined by the State Exceutives of the APC while receiving the decampees at the grand reception.
In his remarks, an elated Senator Uba Sani assured the decampees of fair treatment as full members of the party in accordance with the APC’s principles or fairness and equity.
Senator Sani said the mass exodus of the leaders and members was a proof that PDP is dead in Giwa Local Government”.
Expressing appreciation on behalf of the decampees, a former Secretary to the State Government, Hon Ahmed Samaila Yakawada, who was also a former PDP stalwart in the local government said they resolved to joini the winning party to ensure that the APC sustain its tempo of extending democratic dividends to the people of Giwa and the State in general.
APC state chairman, Air Commodore Emmanuel Jekada(rtd) in his address at the event called the people of Giwa to vote for the APC en mass in the 2023 general elections and and beyond.
It would be recalled that in September thousands of decampees from the PDP in the State have joined the APC and vowed to ensure the success of Senator Uba Sani and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming general elections.
