Kaduna State Government has taken a significant step towards boosting its economic fortunes, as Governor Uba Sani led a high-powered delegation to Hebei Province of China to finalize plans for the effective implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two states and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC).
The tripartite agreement, which was signed recently, aims to develop the Hebei Industrial Park in Kaduna, as well as explore new areas of cooperation and partnerships in diverse sectors.
During the visit, the Kaduna State Government delegation held a successful meeting with investors and prospective industrialists, hosting the first Kaduna Investment Summit in China. Over 70 participants attended the summit, which showcased the investment opportunities available in Kaduna State.
Governor Uba Sani also met with CCECC officials to discuss issues around urban renewal projects and rural infrastructure development. The meeting also addressed major road projects, with an agreement reached to complete them within the shortest possible time.
The development is expected to boost economic activities in Kaduna State, create employment opportunities, and enhance the state’s infrastructure. The partnership between Kaduna State and Hebei Province is seen as a model for inter-state cooperation and a testament to the government’s commitment to driving economic growth.
“This partnership is a significant milestone in our efforts to transform Kaduna State into a major economic hub. We are committed to creating an enabling environment for investors and ensuring that our state remains a destination of choice for investment”, he added.
