Breaking: Kaduna PDP throws out Hunkuyi, John Danfulani, others
The Kaduna State Working Committee (SWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has suspended former Senator Suleman Othman Hunkuyi, Dr. John Danfulani and a five others for working against the party’s interest.
The suspension, which was said to have shocked both Hunkuyi, Dr John Danfulani and five others came on the heels of a preliminary hearing on party discipline, a source at the headquarters of the party revealed.
The source said the SWC’s swift action was backed by the provisions of the party’s constitution as provided in Section 57(3) 2017 as amended.
Other PDP kingpins of the State affected by the sweeping changes, which our source said were meant to reposition it for future elections, include Hon. Hashim Garba of Kubau Local Government,
Dr Mato Dogara of Lere Local Government; Ibrahim Lazuru from Lere Local Government, Lawal Imam Adamu from Soba Local Government and
Ubale Salmanduna from Zaria Local Government.
The source also said that the SWC further declared Col Dauda Albehu Gora “a not registered member of the PDP” and consequently disclaimed him.
Our source also confirmed that Gora’s matter, which seemed to have angered the party’s leadership has led to his name being submitted “to all security agencies for a background check and taking note of his activities.
“We shall take necessary action against him, should he continue with his activities against the PDP”, the party leadership was said to have resolved.
Hunkuyi and the others, despite the suspension, are billed to appear before a disciplinary committee of the party, at a date to be communicated to them by the party Secretariat, the source quoted the PDP’s State Publicity Secretary, Alberah Abraham Catoh was heard saying on Saturday.
