Breaking: Namadi wins Jigawa 2023 APC guber primaries

With what is widely considered a landslide margin, Alhaji Umar Namadi, the Deputy Governor of Jigawa state has clinched the All Progressives Congress APC governorship ticket.
Namadi was declared the winner when he polled 1,220 votes, while his closest rival Sabo Nakudu scored 106 votes, followed by Senator Ibrahim Hassan with 58 votes, Faruku Adamu with 15 votes and Garun Gabas with 5 votes.
Reports from Dutse the State Capital noted that the primary election was generally peaceful.
