Breaking: Uba Sani Deserves Kudos Over 20 Freed Prisoners –Group

The Uba Sani Legacy Projects Solidarity Forum (ULEPSA) has commended Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani for granting amnesty to 20 inmates, describing it as a compassionate act of justice and reform.
Recall that this gesture was announced recently by the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Sule Shu’aibu SAN, who revealed that the governor approved the release following the recommendations of the Kaduna State Committee on Prerogative of Mercy. He also explained that out of 60 inmates considered for clemency this year, 20 met the committee’s criteria for pardon.
“This compassionate move highlights the Kaduna State government’s dedication to upholding constitutional responsibilities while fostering second chances for reformed individuals,” the Commissioner was reported as saying.
ULEPSA, in the media statement signed by its Chairman, Habeeb Bello, applauded the governor for his commitment to balancing justice with mercy.
According to the forum, the move reflected a deeper sense of leadership that prioritizes rehabilitation and reintegration for reformed individuals.
As the freed inmates prepare to return to their communities, the forum urged the public to embrace and support their reintegration. It also praised the governor’s administration for consistently advancing policies that promote fairness, inclusion, and hope.
Governor Uba Sani’s act of clemency, the forum noted, underscores his transformative approach to governance, which continues to set benchmarks for justice and compassion in Kaduna State, the group added.
