BREAKING: UBA SANI RECIEVES GRAINS FROM FG, WARNS OFFICIALS AGAINST DIVERSION
In a bid to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable citizens, Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has unveiled a massive grain delivery programme aimed at providing relief to those affected by economic hardship.
The programme, which was launched at the Dankande in Rigachikun, saw the distribution of 1,313 metric tons of grains, including maize, millet, and sorghum, to vulnerable groups across the state.
According to Governor Uba Sani, the grain delivery program is a direct response to the economic challenges facing the state and is part of the government’s efforts to cushion the effects of the hardship on citizens.
“The directive by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to release grains from the National Strategic Reserve is a clear demonstration of his administration’s commitment to the welfare of Nigerians,” Governor Uba Sani said.
The grains, which were allocated by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), will be distributed to vulnerable households, including internally-displaced persons, widows, and orphans, across the state.
Governor Uba Sani assured that the distribution process will be transparent and equitable, with a broad-based committee overseeing the exercise to ensure that the grains reach the intended beneficiaries. He however gave stern warning to distribution officials, assuring that no official with get away with any “untoward attitude” during or after the distribution exercise.
The grain delivery programme is expected to provide significant relief to vulnerable citizens in Kaduna State, who have been affected by economic hardship, and will help to alleviate the suffering of those in need.
