Breaking: United States supports Gov Sani’s efforts to rescue  kidnapped  students

United States government has condemned the abduction of scores of school children and women in Kuriga 1, located in Chikun Local Government area of Kaduna State, northwest Nigeria. It also declared support to government’s rescue operations, while calling for prosecution of all perpetrators involved in the attack of the innocent pupils and students, while expressing hope about “the immediate safe return of all taken”.

The United State’s position was contained in a media statement issued by its Consulate in Nigeria.

“The United States strongly condemns the kidnapping of schoolchildren in Kaduna and displaced persons in Borno.

“Our hearts go out to the victims’ families. We stand with you in demanding the perpetrators face justice and the immediate, safe return of all taken.

“We support Nigeria’s efforts to secure their release,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, Governor Uba Sani has, during his assessment and sympathy visit to the community, vowed to provide a modern police station and military base, as well as restrategizing on policing of neighbouring areas of Kuriga and environ to forestall a recurrence.
