Covid-19 palliative: Arewa youths hail Sarkin Hausawan Lagos
The Lagos State Chapter of Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has commended the Sarkin Hausawan Lagos for his cash support to the Arewa Community in the State.
Alhaji Aminu Yaro Dogara, the Sarkin Hausawa of Lagos, who is also the Chairman of Arewa Council of Chiefs in the State doled out the cash as part of his contributions to people in need of support due to the covid-19 lockdown.
The AYCF in a media statement, described the monarch’s gesture as “a good step in the right direction and exemplary act of leadership”.
The statement signed by Lagos Branch Chairman of AYCF – Adamu Yahaya, noted that the monarch’s gesture has demonstrated “beyond reasonable doubt that the Sarkin Hausawa was a symbol of responsible leaderhip and respectability”.
The group also expressed gratitude to the officials of the palace for ensuring “a well-organized and truly transparent system of financial support for people badly in need of assistance”.
The group called on other spirited public individuals to emulate “the sacrifice and legendary generosity of the Sarkin Hausawan Lagos, who made sacrifice for the welfare and happiness of people in his domain”.
It would be recalled that controversy has recently arisen from the challenging moments confronting the Hausa Community in Lagos, with civil society organizations tackling the Lagos State Government over palliatives to the Arewa Community in the media.
