Group to oil thieves: Leave Kyari alone
A group under the aegis of PMB Oil & Gas Progress has warned oil thieves against threatening NNPC GCEO, Mele Kyari over ongoing reforms.
A media release signed by the group’s Coordinator Malam Tirmizi Imam on Thursday, said “Malam Kyari cannot be intimidated by anyone no matter how highly-placed because he is giving his very best for Nigeria at a crucial moment in its history”.
The group noted that there would be no going back on any of the reform measures initiated by the NNPC GCEO because the oil and gas sector has suffered neglect in terms of appropriate policies before Kyari came on board.
Going further, they urges the oil thieves to e ready for the legal consequences of their action “because Nigeria is not a lawless country and Kyari will remain undaunted in his effort to remodel the NNPC”.
The statement then noted : “Kyari is here to build a lasting legacy of impactful and long-lasting reforms that will outlive him”, adding that “every Nigerian of good conscience is aware of this.”
