Just in: Hanifa’s killer to die by hanging
The Kano State High Court presided over by Justice Usman Naabba has sentenced proprietor of Noble kids college, Abdulmalik Muhammmad Tanko,38 andHashimu Isyaku, 38 and to death by hanging for kidnapping, and killing Hanifa Abubakar, a five year old pupil.
The convicts were convicted to to 5 and 4 years each for conspiracy.
They conspired and kidnapped the deceased from sheik dahiru bauchi Islamic foundation killed and buried her in a shallow grave in Northwest Preparatory school, located at Kwanar Yan Ghana, in Nassarawa LGA, Kano
To proved his case prosecution team led by Kano State Attorney General, Musa Abdullahi Lawan called 8 witnesses, and tendered 14 exhibits.
The witnesses include: mother of the deceased, Murja Suleiman Zubair, DSS Operatives who arrested Abdulmalik, and Police officers investigated the case.
the exhibit tendered include: confessional statements of the convicts, photograph of the deceased, hijab, Islamic school badge among others.
However, the Prosecution failed to establish the charged of abetment against Fatima Jibril Musa but sentenced her to 1 year for conspiracy and 1 year for attempt to commit offence
