Just in: Niger Governor Bello clinches 2023 APC’s Senatorial ticket

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has emerged the standard bearer of APC in the senatorial primary elections held Saturday in Kontagora.
He polled 335 votes, to beat his opponent – Aliyu Abdullahi Sahabi, the serving Senator representing Niger North at the Red Chamber.
Sahabi got 7 votes while there was a single invalid vote.
By this development, Governor Sani Bello will be the APC’s candidate to slug it out with the PDP’s in the 2023 general elections.
