Kaduna APC primaries: Group raises alarm over fake court order
A group of activists, the Kaduna Democrats Forum(KDF) has raised alarm over media reports of purported court order restraining All Progressives Congress(APC) Chairman and INEC from conducting today’s primary elections for Kaduna North Federal Constituency.
The group’s Executive Director (Media) Malam Rabiu Garba said in a press release in Kaduna that the court order was forged “as no Nigerian court issues an injunction or deliver court service on weekends.
“Moreover, no State High Court has jurisdiction to entertain a matter involving a national agency”.
They disclosed that they have made “a lot of telephone contacts with friends who are senior officials of Kaduna High court, who should know, but they described the report as entirely false”.
The media statement also revealed that the Forum’s leaders have also discovered that there was no trace of any bailiffs who have the authority to serve court processes on either the party Chairman or INEC officials.
The group also disclosed that checks with the APC Headquarters has “also confirmed that there was not a single record of any court service on the matter”.
The Forum called on the people of the State to ignore the “needless distraction being created by politicianswho are afraid to participate in the election because they have problem with unfulfilled promises to the delegates at the ongoing primaries”.
The group described the report as a “veiled attempt to create distraction in the social media by dejected politicians”.
