Kuriga: How we killed abductors, freed hostages — Defence Hdqtrs
The abductors of 137 Kuriga School children in Chikun local government of Kaduna State were killed during rescue operations, Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters has confirmed.
The Director, Defence Media Operations, Edward Buba, made this known in a statement in Abuja.
He explained that the school children were rescued in Zamfara State on 24th March, 2024 after a fierce battle between the terrorists and the military in collaboration with civilian joint task force elements.
The abductors, according to the Buba, fell down to the superior firepower of the security forces, leading to freedom for the hostages.
The statement assured that the tempo of joint security operations would be sustained in order to free all other innocent citizens under terrorists’ captivity.
