Minimum wage : Outrage in APC as national officer tackles Oshiomhole
[11/5, 6:29 PM] nasirdambatta:
The Deputy National Organizing Secretary of the APC, Hon Mohammed Sani Ibrahim has lampooned the party’s National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole for inaction, over the minimum wage issue.
Speaking to newsmen in Kaduna on Monday, Hon. Sani expressed disappointment over the seeming lack of concern for the welfare of Nigerian workers, despite his position as head of the ruling party.
He wondered why the former labour leader should be silent about “the meagre N30, 000 that Nigerian workers are demanding”.
He challenged the National Chairman to publicly declare how much budget his office has every month and “how much allowances he and the National Working Committee members were getting every month and compare same to the paltry N30,000 that hungry Nigerian workers are asking for”.
Hon Sani, who was a two -time member of the House of Representatives also charged the national leadership of the party to “uphold justice, fairness and equity at all times” saying “our party drove away the PDP to promote equity and balance and we shouldn’t be exemplifying what the PDP was doing”.
