Nigeria issues advisory over Russia-Ukraine ‘outbreak’ of war

The Federal Government has asked Nigerian nationals intending to travel to Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Maldova to put such plan on hold.
The advisory, which was contained in a media release by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and signed by Mrs Esther Sunsuwa, also disclosed that the embassies of the six countries have suspended the issuance of travel visas till the end of May 2022.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry, in the statement, further drew the attention of intending Nigerian travellers to the war alert raised by many world powers that gave 24 hours ultimatum to their citizens to vacate the six countries.
The statement pointed out the consequence of “breakout of unforeseen war, without further notice”.
The Ministry, in the statement, advised Nigerians wishing to travel to the six war-prone countries to be wary of “such unbearable risk”.
