JIBWIS backs sultan, NSCIA, in solidarity with Turkey and Syria

The Jamaatu Izalatil Bid’a wa Ikamatussunnah(JIBWIS) has lent its weight behind behind the call by Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) to pray for Turkey and Syria.
Lau in a media statement conveyed his “heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims of the earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria, resulting in the loss of over 12,000 precious lives, with the number still counting.”
The Statement also called on all JIBWIS members to show solidarity with both the victims and survivors as well as the leaders of the affected countries. He also stressed that his call was coming on the heels of passionate appeal made by President of the NSCIA, Sultan Saad Abubakar on the tragic death from earthquake of 12,000 people and still counting.
“In response to the appeal by the Sultan and President of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar CFR, I am imploring all members of JIBWIS and the Muslim Ummah to demonstrate their solidarity and compassion for the affected communities”, emphasized.
The Statement explained that in tragic moments as such as the ones in Syria and Turkey, “it is imperative that we come together as one human family, to offer support and comfort to those who have suffered loss and hardship. This is why I am calling on all members of JIBWIS, and by extension, the muslim ummah in general to offer their prayers for the people of Turkey and Syria and to generously donate to aid relief efforts”.
In Lau’s words: “Let us demonstrate the true essence of humanity and the power of community in times of need. May Allah grant the affected communities strength, comfort and support in their time of need.”
