Reps summon CBN Governor, others, over ‘stolen’ pension funds

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele is on the hot spot again, over alleged stealing of pension funds by the defunct presidential task force team.
The House of Representatives ad-hoc committee, has consequently summoned the CBN Governor along with former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, former Accountant-General of the Federation, Jonah Otunla to appear next week Monday to explain their involvement in the alleged misappropriation of the pension funds.
The committee believes that the fugitive Abdulrasheed Maina should not be only only one to be probed but all those who participated in the then Presidential Task Force on Pension Reform. The team was also accused of squandering approximately N2 billion.
