Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has taken a bold step towards transforming the state’s agricultural sector into a major export hub. Yesterday, he met with top executives of the African Export-Import Bank (AFREXIMbank) to finalize plans for the establishment of an Africa Quality Assurance Centre (AQAC) in Kaduna.

The AQAC, a state-of-the-art facility, will provide testing, certification, and inspection services for agricultural products bound for export. According to AFREXIMbank’s Director of Export Development, Oluranti Doherty, the centre will boost the quality and competitiveness of Kaduna’s agricultural exports.

Governor Sani expressed his commitment to supporting the project, citing his administration’s efforts to improve agriculture in the state. He presented a Certificate of Occupancy for a 5-hectare land to AFREXIMbank, paving the way for the project’s takeoff.

This development is expected to create jobs, increase foreign exchange earnings, and cement Kaduna’s position as a major player in Africa’s agricultural export industry.
