Uba Sani Moves to Empower 42 Minors Freed by Tinubu

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has announced that the 42 minors recently freed from detention on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive are set to undergo skills training as part of their reintegration into society.
Speaking during a meeting with the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Prof. Nentawe G. Yilwatda, at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna, Governor Sani detailed the state government’s ongoing efforts to rehabilitate the minors. He stated that after their release, the children were assessed, documented, and provided with psychosocial counseling, healthcare, shelter, and financial support before being reunited with their families.
To ensure their long-term well-being, the Kaduna State Government is finalizing plans to enroll them in Skills Acquisition Centres, equipping them with vocational training for self-sufficiency and economic empowerment.
While seeking additional federal support, Governor Sani expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for prioritizing humanitarian intervention in Kaduna. Minister Yilwatda, in turn, commended the state government’s proactive approach in addressing poverty and insecurity, noting that its inclusive governance has contributed to the defection of key political figures to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
With Kaduna’s rehabilitation plan in motion, the state government aims to turn the minors’ release into an opportunity for empowerment, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
