I Remain Loyal to APC, Uba Sani — Jaja Backs Tinubu’s UNRBDA

Former ALGON Chairman in Kaduna State, Hon. Shuaibu Bawa Jaja, has broken his silence following the appointment of Mallam Aliyu Tajuddeen Abdullahi as the Managing Director of the Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority (UNRBDA), a position many had earlier linked to Jaja himself.
In a firm yet conciliatory tone, Jaja set the record straight, declaring unwavering loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Uba Sani, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He dismissed what he described as “misguided insinuations” by certain individuals attempting to stir controversy over the appointment.
“Even though,my name was earlier announced by His Excellency president Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, for the same position following the nomination by Governor Uba Sani. I still remain deeply grateful for that gesture,” Jaja noted. “But the eventual appointment of Mallam Aliyu Tajuddeen Abdullahi was purely on merit. I fully support it.”
Jaja also praised Governor Uba Sani for displaying statesmanship in publicly congratulating the appointee, thereby putting an end to speculations of internal discord. He lauded President Tinubu for recognizing Kaduna’s contributions to national development by entrusting a key agency like the UNRBDA to a competent son of the state.
Firmly distancing himself from claims of political betrayal, Jaja offered strong words in defence of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajuddeen Abbas, whose name had been dragged into the controversy.
“Rt. Hon. Abbas remains a pillar of unity and a loyal son of Kaduna. Associating him with baseless conspiracy theories is both unfair and irresponsible,” Jaja said.
The former Kudan LGA Chairman ended on a reconciliatory note, urging unity within the APC and expressing hope that Kaduna will continue to produce competent leaders who put the people first.
