Intellectual Fireworks, Renewed Zeal Define Gov Uba Sani’s Aides’ Kaduna Retreat

Kaduna— The two-day retreat for Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants to Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has been described as one of the most intellectually engaging and purpose-driven sessions ever held under the current administration.
Held at Hotel Seventeen, Unguwan Rimi, from October 15 to 17, 2025, the retreat— themed “Fostering Synergy and Collaboration among Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants for Enhanced Service Delivery in Kaduna State”— brought together the Governor’s aides for an intensive exchange of ideas, strategy refinement, and policy reflection.
Organized by the Office of the Chief of Staff in collaboration with Abed Consultancy Services Ltd, the event blended scholarship with governance insight, energizing participants to drive Kaduna’s SUSTAIN Agenda with renewed passion and precision.
The retreat’s sessions—led by experts from academia, public service, and development sectors—sparked robust debates on ethics, teamwork, communication, and evidence-based governance. Participants described the sessions as “a reawakening of purpose,” pledging to deepen collaboration across ministries and agencies to deliver measurable impact.
Another major highlight was the reaffirmation of ethical values and professional discipline. Aides pledged to embody integrity, punctuality, and transparency in all duties, emphasizing teamwork as the bedrock of effective governance.
Discussions also focused on enhancing policy documentation, communication, and data-driven monitoring to strengthen planning and accountability within government operations.
The participants renewed their loyalty and commitment to Governor Uba Sani’s vision of inclusive development, rural transformation, and citizen engagement—vowing to serve as catalysts for Kaduna’s ongoing reform agenda.
Facilitators and participants alike hailed the retreat as a “landmark learning experience” that has further unified the Governor’s team and sharpened its collective focus on service excellence.
Speaking on behalf of the Rapporteurs, Nasir Dambatta, Senior Special Assistant on Print Media, described the retreat as “a deeply rewarding exercise that showcased the Governor’s commitment to building a disciplined, intellectually vibrant, and purpose-driven team.” He added that the retreat had “reignited the sense of mission among appointees to translate ideas into measurable impact for the good people of Kaduna State.”
