The dual event, held at the Board’s new complex on Tafawa Balewa Way, marked another major step in the state government’s ongoing drive to strengthen Primary Health Care delivery and expand access to quality healthcare at the grassroots.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Uba Sani reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritising Primary Health Care as the backbone of an efficient, responsive and people-centred health system. He said the distribution of medical equipment was aimed at equipping health facilities with essential tools to improve diagnosis, treatment and overall patient care.
According to the Governor, the equipment will enhance the capacity of healthcare workers to deliver timely and effective services, particularly for women, children and other vulnerable groups across Kaduna State.
He described the commissioning of the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board headquarters as a major institutional milestone, noting that the facility will serve as a central hub for planning, coordination, monitoring and implementation of Primary Health Care policies and programmes statewide.
Governor Uba Sani also reiterated his resolve to continue investing in health infrastructure, systems strengthening and human resources for health in line with his administration’s development agenda and commitment to achieving universal health coverage.
The event was attended by members of the State Executive Council, development partners, health sector stakeholders, traditional and community leaders, and officials of the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board, led by Prof Jimoh.
