Kaduna Women for Accountability (KW4A) says Governor Uba Sani has torn down the walls of decades-long rural neglect, replacing them with a historic wave of road projects that is supercharging Kaduna’s progress and silencing cynics.

Speaking at a press briefing in Kaduna on Monday, KW4A Chairperson, Maryam Ibrahim, declared that the governor’s rollout of unprecedented infrastructure has repositioned both rural and urban communities for growth.

She disclosed that a total of 78 new road projects covering 775 kilometres have been launched across all 23 LGAs, while several strategic roads are already completed and in use. Among them, she highlighted the revival of the long-abandoned Kaduna Bridge linking Kabala Costain to Aliyu Makama Road, which is already easing traffic gridlock on Ahmadu Bello Way, and the 14.8 km dual road in Millennium City, which underscores the administration’s commitment to urban renewal.

According to Ibrahim, in the first phase of the road programme, government rolled out 85 roads spanning 785 km, of which 44 have already been delivered, while the second phase introduced more than 50 new roads and bridges covering 550 km.

She stressed that Governor Uba Sani’s gains go far beyond asphalt: “Rural communities now feel a renewed sense of inclusion, the APC has gained stronger political capital, transport costs have dropped, markets are more accessible, and above all, government credibility has been restored,” she said.
