Breaking: Uba Sani Flags Off Speaker Abbas’ Massive Empowerment Drive
In a powerful demonstration of grassroots impact and federal-state synergy, Governor Uba Sani on Monday flagged off an unprecedented empowerment programme facilitated by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen (Iyan Zazzau), at the Nasara Football Stadium, Kofar Doka, Zaria Local Government.
The event, which drew massive crowds from across Kaduna State, saw the distribution of 117 vehicles, comprising 20 Hilux vans; two ambulances; 20 18-seater buses; 50 Sharon model vehicles, and 25 Sedan/saloon cars (Golf, Corolla & Peugeot 406), 200 tricycles, popularly known as Keke NAPEP, and 1,000 motorcycles, to his constituents. This was seen as a bold move aimed at boosting local transportation, youth engagement, and small-scale enterprise.
Governor Uba Sani, while performing the official flag-off, hailed the Speaker’s intervention as “timely and impactful,” noting that the initiative complements the Kaduna State Government’s ongoing efforts in security, education, healthcare, and social intervention.
“This empowerment programme by Mr. Speaker is a lifeline to many households and a critical support system for our developmental strides. It is a shining example of what visionary leadership and responsive representation can deliver,” the Governor said.
He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items, emphasizing their potential to generate income and uplift communities. He also called on citizens to continue supporting both the Kaduna State Government and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, assuring them of sustained people-centered governance.
Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, revered for his deep-rooted ties to his constituency, has once again demonstrated his dedication to the welfare of his people, setting a national benchmark for responsive representation, according to Governor Sani.
