For nearly a decade, the people of Kaduna longed for a brand of politics that puts compassion above coercion and people above power. Today, that longing is being answered through the refreshing partnership of two sons of the soil — Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, and Governor Uba Sani. Together, they are rewriting the story of Kaduna politics with compassion, generosity, and results that are as visible as they are impactful.

In a state previously mired in tension and political exclusion, their leadership offers a welcome shift — one where citizens are no longer mere statistics but central to governance. At the heart of their political philosophy is a shared belief: governance must heal, empower, and uplift.

Speaker Abbas: Empowering Grassroots, One Ride at a Time

Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas is not just legislating from Abuja — he is connecting directly with his people. In a widely-acclaimed empowerment programme reported by Leadership Newspaper, Abbas distributed over 250 vehicles, 300 motorcycles, and 100 Keke NAPEPs, among other work tools, to residents of Zaria Federal Constituency. These assets are not for show — they are tools of survival and growth, empowering artisans, youth, traders, and transporters to reclaim their dignity and financial independence.

The Speaker’s compassion is not seasonal. It is systemic. His grassroots touch has earned him admiration across party lines, reaffirming his deep bond with the everyday Nigerian.

Governor Uba Sani: Farming Hope, Harvesting Prosperity

On the other flank of Kaduna’s transformation is Governor Uba Sani — a leader whose social investment record is fast becoming the envy of his peers. His recent agricultural intervention under the ‘A Koma Gona’ (Back to Farm) programme distributed free fertilizers, maize seeds, power tillers, sprayers, chicks, and fish juveniles to over 40,000 smallholder farmers across the state.

In another groundbreaking move, Uba Sani supervised the delivery of 15,000 metric tonnes of fertilizer to 120,000 farmers, free of charge — a feat unmatched in recent Kaduna history. For rural families and food producers, this isn’t just support — it’s a lifeline.

A New Political Culture of Human-Centered Leadership

Abbas and Sani have proven that politics doesn’t have to be about noise and narcissism. Their brand is quiet, effective, people-driven leadership. Whether in the streets of Zaria or the farmlands of Birnin Gwari, the message is clear: governance must serve.

Together, they are showing that Kaduna politics can be beautiful, responsive, and filled with heart. This is not just a change in faces — it’s a change in philosophy. And for a people who have endured years of divisiveness and neglect, it feels like the dawn of a new era.

Compassion is back. Kaduna is rising. And the future looks kinder.
