Bridging digital divide: Why Kaduna leads with innovative Hausa AI

The Kaduna State Government, led by Senator Uba Sani, is set to launch the first-ever Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies learning content delivered in Hausa Language. This innovative initiative is scheduled to take place at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Hall on April 30, 2024, marking a significant milestone in democratizing AI knowledge across all sectors of Nigeria.

Comprising 40 series of short, animated learning videos, each approximately 4-5 minutes long, this content will be accessible in both Hausa and English languages. This strategic intervention aims to make AI education inclusive and accessible to all, bridging the gap in digital literacy and technological advancements.

The Arewa Ladies4Tech program, sponsored by (link unavailable) and facilitated by Data Science Nigeria, is a broader initiative that encompasses this project. The primary objective is to accelerate job creation in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Digital Technologies, with a focus on Kaduna State and Northern Nigeria as a whole.
