Since assuming office, Hon. Recognizing the importance of water supply, Hon. Shehu’s administration has repaired over 500 boreholes across Soba, providing residents with improved access to clean water and reducing the burden of water scarcity.

In line with Governor Uba Sani’s infrastructure drive, Hon. Shehu installed solar-powered streetlights in Danwata town, improving security and economic activities at night. His administration also repaired stolen power cables across the local government, restoring electricity to affected communities.

During the 2023 Christmas celebration, Hon. Shehu demonstrated inclusive governance by distributing over 500 bags of rice to Christian followers, strengthening religious harmony and community support.
His administration has also prioritized workers’ welfare by approving the 2024 annual leave grant for Soba Local Government staff and settling outstanding monthly allowances for Imams, even increasing their stipends to encourage community service. Additionally, the 2023 leave grant arrears have been cleared, ensuring civil servants receive their due benefits.

Committed to staff empowerment, Hon. Shehu provided support to council employees during the 2024 Computer-Based Promotion Exams, ensuring a fair opportunity for career progression.
Boosting Agriculture and Public Health
With agriculture as a key sector in Kaduna State’s economic strategy, Hon. Shehu has flagged off a vaccination campaign against Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia (CBPP), a deadly livestock disease, safeguarding the livelihoods of local farmers.
Similarly, in a bid to protect children’s health, his administration launched a polio vaccination campaign across the local government, reinforcing Kaduna State’s commitment to eradicating preventable diseases.
