Trending: Kaduna Sets Benchmark in Civil Service Excellence with Pioneering Workshop

Demonstrating unwavering commitment to enhancing public administration, Kaduna State has emerged as a national exemplar in civil service accountability, pioneering a two-day workshop for the advancement of skills for civil servants.
The office of the Head of Service and that of the Principal Private Secretary to Governor Uba Sani facilitated the landmark two-day capacity-building workshop, aimed at fortifying the skills and standards of its civil servants.
The inaugural workshop, a first of its kind in the region, concentrated on equipping Government House employees with advanced training in administrative, financial, and procedural standards. Resource persons who were Professors in relevant fields were drawn from respected Nigerian universities, notably Bayero and UniAbuja among others. Some of the resource persons were seasoned bureaucrats known for their mastery of modern public sector management.
The initiative, according to the governor’s PPS — Professor Bello Ayuba in his opening remarks, underscores Kaduna’s dedication to fostering a competent and transparent civil service that can effectively serve the public and uphold the highest levels of integrity.
Kaduna’s strategic approach to civil service development and its emphasis on equitable policies, according to stakeholders, set a high standard for other states to emulate. The successful execution of the workshop is expected to yield significant improvements in administrative efficiency and public service delivery, reinforcing Kaduna’s position as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s governance landscape.
As Kaduna continues to lead by example, the ripple effects of its initiatives are anticipated to inspire widespread reforms, ultimately contributing to a more accountable and effective civil service across the nation.
Meanwhile, a cross-section of participants speaking on the sidelines of the event said Governor Uba Sani has broken record in the recent history of Northern Nigeria by organising a programme for civil servants by setting a new benchmark for professional excellence and service.
